Your Love one towards another,
“By this, shall all men know ye are my Disciples “
By ; Overseer Jay T. Harrison
Scripture: John 13;35, “ by this shall all men know that ye, are my disciples, if ye, have love one to another.
One of the greatest signs Jesus said would tell the world that we were his disciples, wasn’t found in the position we hold in ministry, it wasn’t how gifted we were in certain areas of administration or talents we possessed. Nor if we had the ability to prophesied and speak like angels. If we had not love, we were nothing or none of his! The greatest sign that tells that we are his, is our love one to another!
I would suggest that intercession is an act of Love! The selfless act of standing in the gap for others and the sacrifice of being an hedge for someone else. Intercession is like taking a bullet for someone else! ( John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” ) KJV.
Just want to challenge you to examine your love this morning, and be sure that it includes one of the strongest signs of discipleship (intercession) love.
Remember we ought to be doing what Jesus is doing since we are hidden in him. Well, he ever live the to make intercession for us! Hebrews 7:25,
So if you had not consider this before, start today! Intercession is an act of love! That’s why we can no longer allow the devil convince us that it’s only a few special folk who engage in this discipline. No! God would that all men pray, without ceasing.
This acted of Love will provide others a trusted ear and heart to confess ones faults, with confidence it won’t become the breaking news! But will be carried into the confident courtyard of our Lord. ( James 5;16a, Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another,)
Remember Jesus is not accuser of the brothern, Satan is!
Zachariah 3:12, Job 2; 1-6, revelation 12 :10,
He doesn’t need our help, so let’s stop doing his job! And start doing ours! (Intercession)
When we actively engage in this acted of Love, (intercession)
Our passion to help and support in prayer will released healing, (James 5:16b. pray one for another, that ye may be healed)
We help bear one another’s burdens, (Galatians 6:2,) (KJV)
We stand in the gap between those who we are interceding for, and the continual attacks by the enemy. Declaring the word of God , His truth concerning them in this ongoing warfare!
So that their eyes will be open, and their spirits lifted, so they won’t fall behind or drop out!
Ephesians 6; 18, (MGS)18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
Intercession (Love), never fails!
1 Corinthians 13: 7,-8,
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
